In 2016, Jesse’s father went through radiation treatment for his colon cancer. A few weeks into treatment, he asked his father what does he want his legacy to be. As they started talking, Jesse realized that he just wanted some simple life lessons to be passed on from generation to generation. Jesse didn’t have his father consistently in his life growing up, but when Jesse’s mother died, he was eleven years old, and his father stepped up to the plate and took care of Jesse. They’ve had a ton of ups and downs in their relationship, but through all of that, he is one of the best men Jesse knew. The lessons that he had taught Jesse about life, money, friendships, marriage, parenthood, entrepreneurship, faith, and community, are way too much to put in a book. But he tried to do it anyway. This is his attempt to not only pass on those lessons, but to share his legacy with the world.
